The Midlands Engine Strategy set out the government’s intention to establish a Midlands Skills Challenge, with the objective of closing the skills gap between the Midlands and the rest of the country. The government has made £7 million of funding available through the Midlands Skills Challenge to pilot innovative approaches to supporting the mental health of employees in the Midlands.

Fiona Piercy Programme Director for the Midlands Engine said:

The Midlands Engine Mental Health and Productivity pilot will enable Midlands employers to have a clearer understanding of the impact mental illness plays in the workplace and how employee mental health can affect productivity.

This is a unique opportunity for Midlands employers to benefit from innovative approaches in tackling mental health in the workplace.

We very much welcome the investment from Government in the Midlands and look forward to working with a delivery organisation to roll out support to Midlands employers.

The Midlands Engine team are pleased to confirm that this tender opportunity is now live on the e-tendering portal: https://www.eastmidstenders.org/ where you will be able to view and download all of the tender documentation.
