Maximising the potential of the HS2 station at Toton

Momentum is building behind a collaboration of businesses, universities, local and national Government, working together to maximise the opportunities that will be made possible by the HS2 station at Toton. The work focuses on three strategic sites, including land around the proposed HS2 station at Toton, East Midlands Airport and Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station.

The programme has the potential to deliver:

  • 84,000 NET additional new jobs
  • At least 4,500 new homes
  • £4.8 billion NET additional Gross Value Added (GVA) into the region’s economy every year

HS2 Toton

In March, the Government published ‘Planning for the Future’ which refers to establishing a Net Zero development and exploring options for regeneration around Toton, including potential delivery vehicles such as Development Corporations.
