Boosting our region’s infrastructure, creating jobs and generating investment are at the heart of some of our universities’ initiatives, with exciting new plans and developments underway. These include a new advanced manufacturing centre in Derby – supported by the University of Derby – which is expected to create 70 jobs.

Meanwhile, work continues on the £9 million Cyber Quarter – Midlands Centre for Cyber Security in Hereford. The new building is a joint venture between the University of Wolverhampton and Herefordshire Council, part-funded by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
