Communications Assistant

Salary: £19,698 (Grade 5)

We’re looking for a talented communications professional to join the Midlands Engine Executive Team to support the development and delivery of our exciting communications across the Midlands Engine Partnership.  You will work collaboratively with colleagues with the Midlands Engine Executive Team and with  partner organisations across our region, with Government and other stakeholders to maximise the opportunities for amplifying our partners voice in delivering the priorities for the region.

The ability to work in partnership is essential – as is your passion for the Midlands!

Political Restriction: This position is considered as a Politically Restricted Post under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and subsequent amendments introduced by the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009.

We’re looking for a dynamic sector professional talented in developing, leading and delivering complex and high-profile programmes. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing our new and dynamic programme Midlands Engine Green Growth, underpinned by partner activity and events and you’ll work closely with our Executive Director as this is a priority area for our region.

You’ll also work closely with other senior leaders, influencers and a wide range of public and private sector partners to develop and deliver this exciting programme in partnership. A proven track record of success through partnership working is essential – as is your passion for the Midlands and this dynamic sector.
