Mental Health & Productivity Pilot

Supporting workplace mental health across the Midlands

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund II launches today (29th February) and will deliver £400 million of new funding to small and medium-sized businesses across the Midlands.

The Mental Health and Productivity Pilot (MHPP) was a 4-year funded programme that closed in March 2024. MHPP supported more than 1130 Midlands organisations to improve mental wellbeing in the workplace, reaching 800,000 employees and contributing to the growth of our region.

The overarching aim of the MHPP was to support employers across the Midlands, helping to improve workplace mental health and wellbeing.

“At Jaguar Land Rover we believe that while there’s no universal definition for wellbeing, we think of it as not only avoiding being unwell but being healthy and feeling good physically, mentally and socially. When all three are as good as they can be you are more likely to feel positive and enjoy life.”

Start a Chat Campaign

The MHPP has launched the Start a Chat campaign to encourage employers and employees across our region to start the mental health conversations at work. Creating a culture of open, non-judgemental conversation can help to create happy, healthy workplaces where all colleagues can thrive.
